SENIOR LIVING COMMUNITIES
Montessori Moments in Time™ Memory Care
Our Montessori Moments in Time™ program is the cornerstone of Meridian Senior Living's comprehensive approach to memory care and was developed through extensive research and first-hand experience with our residents throughout the years. We strive every day to integrate purpose and meaningful moments into the lives of our memory care residents through a customized program, honoring our residents and their journey with Alzheimer's or other dementia. Our secure, specialized memory care neighborhood offers spacious private suites. in a home-like setting, with supervised access to amenities, and care by our highly trained and compassionate staff.
Care with Respect
& Dignity
Our memory care program is based on a platform of respect—respect for each individual as people who are important, with significant life stories, talents and preferences.
We provide our memory care residents with a positive and intentional experience at our community. Our Life Engagement programming seeks to reduce agitation and inspire conversation. Understanding resident preferences and past history—their loves, likes, occupations, family members, and more—can help us identify and troubleshoot why a resident may be upset and redirect behaviors to bring moments of joy into social interactions.

It All Starts With
The Resident Life Story
Who our residents are and the lives they’ve led are important elements to providing the best care. Understanding what makes them tick, what causes agitation and what inspires joy is crucial as we build out programming and learn the best way to communicate with one another. Before someone joins our community we ask that families complete a Resident Life Story that shares with our team all the information we need to offer a meaningful experience.

Serving Families Across Nassau County
Serving Families Across Nassau County
Questions from Nassau County families
We are at 130 Irving Place in Woodmere, in the heart of the Five Towns. Most Nassau families are closer than they expect: about 6 minutes from Cedarhurst, 5 from Hewlett and 7 from Lawrence, and roughly 25 to 36 minutes from Hempstead, Mineola and Garden City. You can see approximate drive times for every neighborhood on the towns we serve.
Memory care is all we do. We are not an assisted living community with a small memory unit at the back, and that focus shapes everything: the secured building, the dementia-trained team, and a daily program built for cognition rather than general senior living. If assisted living is genuinely what your family needs, we will tell you so and help you look elsewhere.
Nassau averages about $8,875 a month, above the New York State average and well above the national median. Our own most affordable apartment starts at $10,500, all inclusive, and we explain openly why that sits above the county average. Our guide to what memory care costs in Nassau County breaks down what the fee includes and how families pay for it.
Yes. Our kitchen is certified by the Vaad HaKashrus, and we are the memory care community in Nassau County that runs a certified kitchen of its own rather than bringing meals in on a tray. For the many observant families across the Five Towns, that is often what settles the shortlist. If your family does not keep kosher, it is no barrier at all: everyone eats together, and everyone eats the same way.
We care for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The building, the team and the daily program were designed around those needs from the start, rather than adapted to them later. As needs change over time, the care adjusts with them.
Please do, and take your time. You can book a visit whenever suits you, and there is no pressure to decide on the day. Watching a normal afternoon here, and meeting the people who would care for your relative, tells you far more than any brochure.
