A Kosher Home, Not a Kosher Option
For many families in the Five Towns, the question is not whether a community can accommodate kosher. It is whether their mother will still feel like herself there.
Our kitchen is Vaad Kosher certified, and we are the memory care community in the area that operates one. That is not a menu option here, it is how the whole kitchen runs, every day, for every resident.
It matters more than food. For someone living with dementia, the familiar is what steadies them. The rhythm of the week, the smells from the kitchen before a holiday, the sense that the calendar still means something. When those things stay recognizable, a person holds on to their sense of themselves for longer. That is the real argument for kosher memory care, and it has very little to do with dietary preference.
If your family does not keep kosher, none of this is a barrier. Plenty of our residents do not, and they enjoy the food just as much.
Personalized Care From Day One
Schedule A Tour & Receive A Complimentary Personalized Engagement Kit
We take the time to learn who your loved one truly is — their hobbies, interests, routines, and personality.
Families who visit our community receive a personalized engagement kit thoughtfully created around their loved one’s interests to encourage comfort, familiarity, and meaningful engagement.
Memory Care Is All We Do
Many communities offer assisted living with a small memory unit at the back. We are not that. Every apartment, every member of the team and every hour of the daily program was built for people living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.
That focus is what makes the difference in practice. Our team does this all day, every day, rather than some of the time, and they are not splitting their attention between residents with very different needs.
In the Heart of the Five Towns
We are at 130 Irving Place in Woodmere, minutes from Cedarhurst, Hewlett, Lawrence and Inwood. For most of our families that means visiting on the way home rather than making a trip of it.
That proximity matters more than people expect. With dementia, how often you visit does more good than how long you stay, and a community close enough for a short visit four times a week is worth more than a better one an hour away.
Built Around Who Your Parent Has Always Been
Our MONTESSORI MOMENTS IN TIME program starts with a conversation rather than a care plan. We ask about the work they did, the music they know, their traditions, how their day used to run, even how they take their coffee.
What comes out of that becomes their engagement plan, and it belongs to them alone. A dedicated Life Enrichment Coordinator builds the day around it, mixing activities for the mind, the body and the spirit, with something social in there most days because company matters as much as the activity.

FAQs
Our kitchen is Vaad Kosher certified. We are the memory care community in the area that operates a certified kitchen rather than offering kosher meals as a special request.
Not at all. Many of our residents do not keep kosher, and the kitchen serves everyone the same way. Families who do keep kosher simply do not have to think about it.
It matters less than families fear, and the familiarity often outlasts the detail. Someone may not recall why Friday evening is different and still settle when it arrives. Keeping the rhythm intact is worth doing even when the reasons have gone.
Please do, and take your time. We also offer short-term and respite stays, so your relative can spend real time here before anyone commits to anything.
